History and Music Displays
Multi-sensory immersive displays present diverse stories about Marin’s musicians, recording studios, clubs, promoters, poster artists and sound innovators. Hundreds of rare artifacts including psychedelic poster art, Grateful Dead fan letters and instruments once played by John Cipollina, Janis Joplin, Charlie Deal and others illuminate this eclectic and electric history. Gobo lights, photographs, fashions from the 60s through 80s and music and video clips add atmosphere and energize the gallery areas.
